If you have an existing screed, concrete or tiled floor and would like to install underfloor heating, this can be easily achieved by milling grooves into the floor. This avoids increasing the floor height like other retro fitting systems and the requirement to excavate existing floors.
The procedure is carried out virtually dust free using the powerful dust extraction system on our Milling Machine. We mark out where we are going to put the pipes, then get to work with the milling machine, cutting the channels.
Once all of the floor milling channels are cut, we can get on with installing the under floor heating pipes.

How Floor Milling Works
- Step 1: FloorIQ’s floor heating milling machine allows us to cut even grooves in one operation quickly and easily.
- Step 2: The machine cuts neat and regular grooves, so the heating pipes can be laid directly in the grooves.

Step 3: After the pipes have been tested, the grooves can be sealed with tile adhesive.

Step 4: Tiles, parquet, wood or laminate flooring can be laid directly onto the sealed grooves.
